It seems like I haven’t posted forever. We have been so busy it seems. We were asked to go on the
Martin’s Cove Trek with our stake (for Youth Conference) as Ma’s and Pa’s. We had a "kick-off" activity last week. We got to meet our kids (we have 9) and we played some pioneer games and square danced. Anyway, there is a lot to still do. We are supposed to dress in pioneer outfits so I have been working on that (kind of). I am excited to go. My parents are going to tend our kids (we will be gone for 4 days). I am a little nervous about all the walking/hiking. I bought some new shoes so I am trying to break them in. I also am going to invest in some anti-blister socks, I am hoping they will really help. I think it will be a wonderful testimony building experience. It still is so amazing to me that the pioneers crossed the plains to go to Salt Lake. I have been reading about a lot of my ancestors the last couple of days. I thought that all mine came to Utah on the train, but it turns out some of them actually came in covered wagons. The sad thing is the info I have just says things like "she crossed the plains with her sister and walked the whole way" – that’s it, no details, no stories, nothing about their trials, their triumphs, their faith, well, I guess it shows their faith, they just walked west to build Zion. It is simply amazing! I think we have a lot to learn from them. We go June 11 – 14th.
I also have been working in the yard a lot. I bought so

me strawberry plants (25) and got them planted. I hope they work. My neighbor gave me some raspberry plants and I planted them as well (there are only 2 of them). I have also been weeding a lot. We sure have A LOT of weeds. I hope to plant my tomatoes this week. They have done well in the little jiffy-7 peat pellets. I am hardening them off right now. My mom said to do it for 5 days or so. I hope they get used to outside they have been living the sheltered life sitting in my window sill protected from the wind – it’s time for the real world little tomatoes!
I was sick last week for 4 days (I had some flu bug that gave me really bad diarrhea and made me feel pregnant – I’m not though) I am so glad to be feeling better, because they say if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything!
Ray took the boys to the Fathers and sons outing. They had fun camping and being outdoors. Kara and I just ran some errands and I worked in the yard while she took a really long nap on Saturday.

I had a good Mother’s Day yesterday. The boys gave me flowers and cards that they made at school. Of course they wanted me to share the candy with them, which I did.
Enjoy the random pictures.

This one of Trent was on Cinco de Mayo

- they made these sweet hats at school.

Horray a new post I love it.
HI!!! Always happy to see your new blog. Love the spring pictures. So cute. It's great to see your kiddies grow.
Wow! You really are getting into the gardening spirit this year! I'm sure everything will do great in your backyard!
You are so great at gardening! Ugh... I do have strawberries this year and that's it. Our tomatoes did great here even in the extreme heat. I was told they don't do well here but they did. So I bet your's will be fab! Cute pics of the kiddies. What age did your boys start the father/sons outing? H Man is going with his daddy this year and I'm really excited for them! I bet your boys just love it! And for you to get some girly time is probably not bad either huh?
The trek will be so much fun! What a cool experience and awesome that your mom will watch your kids. Sounds like you are doing great with your yard work and gardening this year. I need to get on that :)
Wow, 25 strawberry plants. Good for you. I think I planted maybe one in my little garden. Loved all the pictures.
