March 28th

Trent had a pre-school field trip and we went to the Bean Museum at BYU and the Earth Science Museum on the BYU campus as well. The kids thought the dinosaur museum was really neat. At the Bean Museum we got to watch a live reptile show. They let the kids touch a live turtle, iguana, and snake. Tyler kept saying sort of loud - I don't like snakes! We had a interesting thing happen. We were up on the top floor and we rode up there in the elevator because Kara was in her stroller. We were getting ready to go downstairs and I pushed the down arrow. I heard Tyler say "I want to push the buttons" I said he could push the ones in the elevator. He ran in the elevator and must have pushed the button because before I could get in there with the stroller the doors shut with just Tyler inside the elevator. I didn't know what to do. I tried pushing the arrow again but nothing happened. So I told Trent to stay there with the stroller and I grabbed Kara and hurried down the stairs. I didn't see Tyler at the bottom anywhere. I pushed the up arrow and it opened and NO Tyler. So I got in the Elevator and went up stairs. When the doors opened Trent and Tyler were both standing there. Later one of the other preschooler's mom came up to me and said she saw Tyler almost in tears in the elevator, she asked him who his mom was and he said Teri Lynn (don't know why he had to through the middle name in but he did) So she took him upstairs. I am sure she was wondering "where is the mom here?". But she just left him there with Trent. I asked him what he thought when the doors shut and he was alone - he just said - "scary". What wonderful adventures being a mom.

Well, we woke up today to snow. It is mostly melted now (2:30 p.m.) I am sure it isn't the last snow we will see! I took Kara to get her pictures taken today. She wasn't very happy and would not smile for the lady. She was happy all the way there but we had to wait a little bit longer that we should of and I think see was just tired. Oh, well. So I bought a small portrait package and she isn't even smiling in the picture. There is a way to view the pictures on the internet, but it takes 10 days. I will have to post the link when it is up.

March 21st

Well, I couldn't think of a cute title so this is what you get. We have just been up to our usual. Ray has been working A Lot - poor guy. He had some deadlines to meet and so he worked until 4 am two times in 3 days. Hopefully he will be done soon with all his late night working. The weather has been nice so we have been spending more time out side, even though sometimes it is like pulling the kids teeth to get them out side. We went to the park and took these pictures. Tyler rode his bike and so that is why he has on all his "gear". Sometimes he just likes to wear his helmet and elbow pads around, even to the store. He has these funny swimming glasses that are bright green that he also likes to wear, he wanted to wear them to church last sunday so Ray let him. I got some pretty funny comments from people at church. I will have to take a picture next time he has them on - I put this tank top on him even though it is way to big and not really warm enough to wear. He came out and said to Trent , "look at my tattertot that I am wearing". I thought it was funny. The little blond boy is a neighbor boy that was at the park also. The boys also got out their camping chairs and wanted to sit in them in the house. Tyler said lets go on a "hikeout" - His version of hiking and camping I guess. Kara still likes to put her hands in her mouth all day and she just started to roll over. I like to take pictures but I just get her hands out and she puts them back in. She also likes to grab her dress and blanket and put it in her mouth. Funny Baby!

That's about all for us!

St. Patrick's Day

Today Trent had his pre-school St. Patrick's Day party. Their snack was lucky charms cereal with green milk. His teacher told them that a leprechaun left it for them. Of course now Trent thinks that they are real So after pre-school him and Tyler ran around outside trying to find leprechauns. Trent made his hat at pre-school.

Kara had her 4 month well baby visit today. She weighed 12 pounds 3 ounces. She got 4 shots, it is always so sad when they get shots. I took these pictures of her yesterday in her cute new dress. I love pink!
Well, I really am not much of a writer, but I like to take pictures.
ENJOY!

Trying to figure out blogging!

I have never done this before, but my friend Sally has a blog and it is fun to read about what is going on in her life since I never see her. (Thanks for the inspiration Sally!)
Well, we are just busy, busy it seems. Ray is still in the middle of his "busy season" so we don't see him much. Hopefully by April he will be working less.
The kids seem to be growing as fast as the weeds in the back yard. The weather has been nice lately and so I have been making them go outside. I think they have gotten used to being stuck inside because of the cold. We still just have a backyard full of rocks and dirt and hopefully we will put in sod soon. We need to get rid of the rocks, so I spent about a hour yesterday picking them up and putting them in my new rock garden. The boys helped a little but it was mostly me doing it all. It was good exercise, seeing how I don't exercise much, I about broke a sweat!
As you can tell I like to take pictures
of cute happy Kara.

I need to take more pictures of the boys!
Well, as I was looking through my pictures to post on here I realized that I mostly just have pictures of Kara. Looks like I need to make an effort to take more of the boys. It seems like I don't take the camera when we go fun places like the park or to Trent's preschool field trips. This one of Tyler cracks me up. He wanted to be like Atrayu on the never ending story 2, so he put on Kara's headband.

Tennille came up the other day with Brett and Jack. This is Kara and Jack they are about 3 weeks apart. Cute cousins!

Here's what we were up to in 2006

Ok so this was part of our Christmas letter that I didn't get out to very many people including family - sorry! I am trying not to post anything that could be an identity "threat"

It is hard to believe another year has come and gone. As you can tell by the picture we have added to our family. Kara was born in November. She weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and was 19 ½ inches long. For the most part she is a good baby. Teri has really enjoyed buying lots of pink and keeping bows in her hair.

Trent just celebrated his fifth birthday. He attends pre-school 3 times a week and likes learning. He played soccer this past fall (Ray was his coach) and took swimming lessons during the summer. Trent is really into pirates and treasures these days. He likes to draw and make presents for people. He spends most of the day playing with Tyler. They like to build forts with the couch cushions, (even though mom would rather that they didn’t) play star wars and search for treasures. Trent is very good to share with Tyler and pretty much automatically gives half of any treat he receives to Tyler. His newest favorite way to help mom is to set the table for dinner.

Tyler turned 3 in September. He loves playing with Trent all day and loves when his dad comes home. He likes to play baseball in the basement with Ray. He has a "T" that he can hit the ball off of and Ray will pitch to him as well. He runs around the bases and likes to slide. Tyler is learning what money is, to him a quarter equals 1 can of pop at dad’s work. He always wants to go to "dad’s work" to get a pop. Tyler likes to hum, sing and make sound effects. His favorite songs lately are "Jingle Bells" and "5 little ducks went out to play". He likes to have a light saber clipped onto his pants and a sword down the back neck of his shirt so he can pull it out and have a "battle." His biggest accomplishment this year was becoming potty-trained.

Not much has changed for Ray. He still enjoys working as a CPA. He likes to play basketball and go to Jazz games. He LOVES the Jazz. He took the boys (Teri went sometimes) to the Owlz baseball games last summer. He also has worked on the basement. Over the Christmas break he finished the storage room; now Teri gets to go through all her stuff taking up the basement and organize it. He also worked on leveling off the back yard and helped with the concrete patio and mow strip for our fence behind the back wall. He enjoys being dad and having a little girl in the house.

Teri is adjusting to being a mother of three. She definitely keeps busy with the kids, her accounting clients and Relief Society. When she gets free time she enjoys making cards, scrapbooking and couponing. She is looking forward to the spring when she can work on fixing up the front yard (it was very neglected last year because she was pregnant) and getting bushes and flowers planted behind the retaining wall.
