At my cousin, MeChel's wedding reception

MeChel & Ammon, I wasn't actually at the wedding, my aunt took this picture.  Isn't her dress beautiful!

Margie is the mother of the bride and my mom's sister

Mother's Day 2011

Kara gave me this card with a darling pin she made at pre-school.  Ray gave me this Tampa Bay "Rays" jersey.  because I am "Ray's"

Tyler made this hotpad at school

Ray's Bithday

Pre-school graduation

Ray in his new recliner.  The kids love it too!

For Ray's birthday I had ordered iron-on "Rays" for the whole family.  Well, they didn't arrive in time and I was so bumbed.  So I had everyone put on their white shirts, then I photo shopped the "Rays" on to everyone's shirts (except mine) then printed the picture and framed it.  I got the iron-ons in the mail like a week later, but I have yet to really iron them onto anything yet.  I think it turned out quite swell.  We had to do this right before school so everyone had just woke up, including me, hence the not so cute hair and no makeup.
Mike and Ashlee had Cole in the middle of May.  I am excited for Matthew and him to be good cousin buddies.

April 2011

Well, it looks like I am back to doing a "picture" blog.  It's better than nothing right?

Randy and Keri came to visit.  This is Matthew with his cousin Bryn.  They are exactly 4 months apart.

Throwing rocks in the river.  Kyle would do this all day if we let him.

The first time Tyler held Matthew.  He got over his pink eye and so he wanted to.

My 35th birthday.  Ray took me to dinner and when we got home all these lovely ladies were there waiting to surprise me.  Ray had called them all.  I am not sure why I am not kneeling down so you can see everyone (sorry Christina I am blocking your face)  I have wonderful friends!  It was a great day.  As a side note, Matthew was 2 weeks old.

Grandma and Grandpa C came to see baby M.  Tax season was over--YEAH!

Easter egg hunt with the cousins.  It was a cold, rainy weekend.

Smiling at 20 days.  I don't remember my other kids smiling at 3 weeks, seems to young.  I am hoping it is a sign that he will be a HAPPY child.

He does get sad though!

Miss Kara in her Easter dress.  I had planned to add a pink ruffle and I even started on it, but it was taking to long and I didn't finish it, so it is just a white dress.  OH, well!

Kyle wanted to wear a tie, even though it doesn't go with his shirt.

Trent-- Can't believe he is 9

Tyler -- can't believe he is almost 8!

Kyle had a piece of gum, then he put it in his hair and said "look it's in my hair"  I had to cut it out.  Awesome!

Coloring eggs.  We did this like a week after Easter, but the kids didn't mind

Pinewood Derby -- Trent's care is the Neon Green one

That is it for April!  The first couple of weeks were a bit rough for me after having Matthew.  I think partly because I lost more blood that usual?? I felt like I had to lay down most of the day and my legs were especially week.  I gradually got better, thank goodness!  My mom stayed for a week and helped a ton.  Then she took Kara down to Enoch for the next week since it was spring break (Tennille and her kids drove them down)  That helped a lot too.  I love her tons, but it helped to not have her fighting with Kyle and having the older boys pick on her.  I asked Trent and Tyler if they missed Kara, Trent said "Kara who?"  I hope she survives being the only girl!

Welcome Matthew!

I am once again SUPER late in posting.  We had Matthew G. on April 4th.  He weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 21 inches long.  He is a chub and super cute!

Us with Dr. Young, he has delivered all 5 of our kids

In a nut shell the delivery went well, Matt ended up having low blood sugar levels (due to my gestaional diabeties) so he had to be on an IV and they kept him down in the Nursery/NICU -- I kind of hemorrhaged so I was super week and almost passed out twice, they gave me all this medicine and hooked me back up to the IV with pitocin to stop the bleeding. They had to wheel me down to the nursery every time he needed to nurse the first night.  By the next day I could walk down there, then they weaned him off the IV and by the second night they would bring him to my room to nurse.

We came home on Wednesday and I have just been trying to recover.  I think the loss of blood has really taken a toll on me.(I have been super weak and feel like I need to lay down almost all day)  My mom was here until Sunday so she was a super big help.

Kyle and Kara are my little shadows and hover over me and the baby.  Kyle always wants to hold the baby.  When Matt is crying Kyle will say "wa wa I want my milk" that is his interpretation of what the baby is saying.  He also likes to try to climb in the crib and he shakes the crib and changing table-- I sure hope this baby survives.  I put one of those door lock things on the outside so I can lock Kyle out.  He will shake the door and say "let me in baby" - - I think I really have my hands full!  This week is spring break, so the kids have no school, it is nice that I don't have to worry about getting them off to school by 8:40 a.m. Kara ended up going with Tennille down to my parents for the week.  It has helped having one less child to care for.

Matt (that is what I am calling him) is a good baby.  We had a few rough nights when we first got home, but he is doing so much better and is so cute.  I think he looks like the other kids, especially Trent and Kyle.  There are no pictures of Tyler with the baby because he hasn't really wanted to hold him and now he has pink eye (along with Kyle -- just what we need)  I remember he didn't hold Kyle until he was 2 months old.

March 2011

Well, you will have to check out my Jan. and Feb. posts.  How pathetic, it is MARCH 17th and I am just now posting about January and February items. I am hanging in there, I keep telling myself I can make it 2 more weeks! We still don't have a name for this little guy and I don't think we are ready for him but every day I tell myself I will get a ton done to prepare for him to get here and I pretty much get nothing done, oh well! Ray is in his busiest month of the year, and I am sure is praying I make it to April 1st. Yesterday the doctor said we will just have to see how my sugar's are next week at my appointment (I have gestational diabetes again and the meds aren't really helping) I think I will make it though.

We got all got sick at the beginning of the month (well, not Tyler).  I still don't know if it was the flu or a horrible cold or both.  It all started with Kyle, then Kara, then I started coughing and feeling achy in my joints, Tuesday night, then it turned into a super runny nose, no smelling or tasting, stuffy head and just overall feeling of sickness.  Trent stayed home from school Thurs. & Friday.  I had a payroll on Friday and it took almost all I had to go do it.  Poor Ray spent Wednesday afternoon and most of Thursday home, he has so much to get done at work that he tried to go in but just couldn't do anything.  Kara missed a whole week of preschool, hers ended up in a double ear infection Friday night.  I am still suffering from a constant cough and I think I have allergies because my nose still runs way to much.  It was a nasty bug, I just hope we can stay health until the baby gets here.  I remember Kara was sick, with a cold, when we had Kyle and he got it right away, it was horrible.

Ray's parents were here Saturday (March 5th) because his brother and wife (Randy and Keri) blessed their baby on Sunday.  We went to a dinner Saturday night, it was yummy even though I really had to watch what I ate due to my GD, can I just say I HATE it and hope that I can keep myself from developing type 2 later in life, it stinks!

Great shot of my big belly
